Three steps high semi-circular amphitheatre at Aston University; composite stone; anti-slip strips; stainless steel anti-skating strips / studs
Lakeside Amphitheatre was damaged by skaters withing a few years of its construction. Extensive cleaning and repair of damaged composite stone sections and damaged pointing was undertaken. After remedial conservation / restoration was completed, stainless steel anti-skating strips were installed to prevent this type of damage occurring in the future.
