Shield 9 - All Souls College

Full restoration of badly weathered polychrome coats of arms was undertaken. Fragile areas of stone were consolidated and areas of missing stone substrate were carefully remodeled. After strengthening the shields structurally, the surviving polychromy was conserved. Areas of missing paint were restored in the form of in-painting and originally gilded areas were re-gilded using 23.5 carat gold leaf.
